Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson (in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson) was born 24 April 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas. She is an American TV personality and singer-songwriter. In 2002, she won her first American Idol talent contest. Clarkson was born and raised within Burleson Texas (a suburban area located in Fort Worth), where her vocal talents were first recognized by her 7th grade music teacher. When she graduated from high school, Clarkson went for a visit to Los Angeles to try to make it in the showbiz. After returning to Texas, she became a contestant on the first season of Fox Broadcasting Company's American Idol, a singing competition that allowed viewers to decide which singer they liked best. Clarkson's charismatic voice, personality and humor were instantly loved by viewers. The prize she received for winning the contest was $1 million plus the recording contract was signed with RCA.
